In the midst of rehearsing for Just Say DA!: Direct Object, Michelle talks about her relationship with objects over the years…
My relationship with elastic bands started at a young age. At the tender age of five, the popular scrunchie fad worked its way into my heart and hair. Each day, I could be spotted on the playground in a brightly colored scrunchie, which I generally tried to match with the color of at least one sock or shoe. When this fad was put on the backburner, so was my passion for elastic bands… until I discovered my sea foam green exercise band. Together we create a strong and flexible bond and continue to grow…

PROJECTS
Miss Heron Michelle has been delighting young audiences across Texas as one of the title characters in Heron and Crane opposite Jude Hickey! The kids just love her charming rhymes, her elegant dancing, and her spontaneous jazz scatting! You can experience the magic for yourself at The VORTEX Yard on weekend mornings and afternoons in April 2009!
TRANSIT THEATRE
This spring, Michelle will be participating in the debut reading of an original play by Jacob Trussell for Transit Theatre Troupe's New Works Festival. Transit is a dynamic young company that performs all kinds of shows in all sort of venues; well done, Michelle!
OUR RUSSIAN LINEAGE
Not only does Michelle perform, she's a scholar and designer, too! She's been taking classes this year in Russian literature (always a plus for DA! members!) and she recently designed period-appropriate props for the St. Edward's production of Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters. As they say in Moscow, "Zdarovya!"
