A Workshop in Russian Actor Training
During a regional workshop at TETA, approximately 60 students, teachers, and professors gathered to explore the Droznin System of Physical Actor Training. The system calls upon training from Stanislavski’s Method, Meyerhold's biomechanics, and the achievements of other great Russian directors such as Vakhtangov and Tairov. It is the physical training system utilized in the graduate program at Harvard University and throughout both Europe and Asia. The workshop introduced exercises for developing physical awareness and freeing the body for spontaneous creative expression. They also discussed further application and training possibilities.
